Setting Intentions With Vision Boards

Well, It’s January 2023. I am sure some of you have placed resolutions for this year. I like to set my intentions for the year, and one of those ways is by creating a vision board. You may be asking, “what is a vision board?” If you like to set goals or desire something you don’t have, this is a great way to manifest those items into existence. The Law of Attraction is setting your intentions and is the key to manifesting your dreams. If you are unfamiliar with this term, I recommend reading The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. She explains LOA in greater detail than I ever could.

Manifesting Goals Using Vision Boards

There is no right or wrong way to create a vision board. Here is the first vision board I created. You see Career Choices, a cat, car key, a beach, and inspiring words w/ decorations of things I like. Within two years, I manifested a pet cat, a new car, attending zumba regularly, and my daughter and grandkids lived in Oregon. I love the coast, so it was a real treat to visit! The Career change would take a bit longer to manifest.

What Supplies Do You Need?

As far as supplies go, the sky is the limit. I like to visit my local craft store Michael’s and buy some items there, such as poster board, stickers, decorations, specific character items, and anything else relating to your personality, desires, etc. You will also need glue or glue sticks, magazines, and scissors. Now you will want to cut out intentional words and pictures to glue to your poster board.

My second vision board consisted of items cut out of magazines. As you can see, I used lots of intentional words and pictures. I find this one motivational and positively driven rather than desiring material items. Looks like I was seeking more peace and happiness in my life, goals for fitness, and connection in love and friendship. Vacation time seems important-a need to travel.

My career choices changed over the years, but the one thing I really wanted to be was an entrepreneur. I wanted to be self-employed, doing what I love, and passionate about making that happen! It would be several years later before that could happen. It required a lot of faith, hope, and never giving up.

I joined a side gig while still working full-time. I got the opportunity to hang out w/ my Upline and create this vision board. My top three dreams were travel. The debt I wanted to pay off was credit cards, and my new car and I wanted to quit my full-time job-all of which I’ve done. Manifesting takes time and patience.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and found it inspirational. Now get out there and create your own vision board and see what comes to fruition! It is such a fun way to express yourself and see what the Universe holds for you! All it takes is imagination, motivation, and discipline.
