Where has loyalty found you?

How have you offered loyalty?

June 21 2015

Today we celebrate the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. This invites us to wake up and see things clearly as the sun will shine upon us with generosity and joy.

In the week to come it is for us to be open to and explore the concept of loyalty; the loyalty we offer and the loyalty that we freely accept.

The path calls for blending; the blending of body, mind and spirit as well as offering energy to the tribe and keeping energy for oneself.

The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.

~Zig Ziglar~

Ultimately, there are many lessons to be learned in the week to come as long as you keep listening and keep your eyes open.

What will be revealed is the importance of gratitude and ceremony when it comes to your connection with nature. Celebrate the sun as she shines her gifts upon you, and celebrate yourself as you enjoy the gifts that are offered and the gifts that you share.

There is time for rest and there’s time for work and during the week to come rest and contemplation become necessary.

I offer today’s mantra as freely as the sun shines upon us:

I dance in her light

She never fails

Loyal every day

Showing an example

For us to emulate

Oracle Blessings, June 2

Can you achieve your desires without the help of others?

Are you ready to ask for that help?

June 2 2015

When you came into this life there were certain agreements that created the destiny of the path that you walk. From time to time we may be offered a glimpse of what that destiny is in the bigger picture of why we are here. In this time what may become more apparent is how our destiny intertwines with others, and how our openness to blending comes into play. Continue reading Oracle Blessings, June 2

Has your loyalty been tested?

Have you seen an example of loyalty to the bitter end?

May 17 2014

This morning I am using two Oracle decks and asked the question; what will next week offer?  The decks I use are the Medicine Cards and the Tao Oracle.

The question of loyalty comes up in the cards.

How have you been loyal to your friends?

Do you expect loyalty from your friends?

Where do your talents lie?

What is it that is holding you back from achieving your potential?

May 7 2015

This morning I pull three cards from The Power Deck, asking the questions what it is, and what will it be in the end.

Have you made goals?

This is the time to focus on what it is that you wish to create or what it is you wish to be. This is a time of laser focus letting go of the things that are distracting, knowing that it will just be for a while. This time of focus will also be a time of expansion.

What preconceived notions are holding you back?

You have learned exactly how it is supposed to be. Others have filled your head with their observations, now is the time to take a step back and ask yourself if their observations ring true to you. Perhaps it is what you believe to be the only way that is actually standing in your way.

Are you ready to do the same thing but in a completely different way?

The laser focus on what you wish to achieve or what it is you wish to be will lead you to a time of questioning what it is you have done and how you have done it. This will open the door to expansion. A time of discovery will present itself and it is for you to embrace creativity, and be aware and ready when that creativity shows you ways that will not work as well as showing ways that bring a new vision.

Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving toward something.

~Ralph Marston~

Embracing this time of insight I offer you today’s mantra:

I see clearly where it is I wish to be

There is a path ahead of me that many have walked before

Today I choose the path less used

Opening the door to new discoveries

Oracle blessings, April 24

Are you wishing to be seen?

Do you feel the compulsion to connect with another?

April 24 2015

This morning I open to the cards to see what this day may be. I am using the Medicine Cards and the Voyager Tarot to bring inside to our our day.

Elk shows us that strength and stamina used wisely can help us to accomplish our goals. Elk also whispers wise counsel that if we are showing ourselves off too loudly we may attract danger instead of pleasure. Today move forward using your power and stamina to reach your end goal, but do this quietly and with intention.

The path ahead shines brightly with many sparkly distractions, do not pause too long to gaze into those distractions.

Allow your heart time and space to be cleansed and purified. Today may offer some healing for the wounds that may be keeping your heart closed.

If the path ahead for you to calls to use your hands to create, as an artist would, be aware that your brilliance may shine brightly. Allow that brilliance to create without restriction even if the end results are not as expected. This is a place today of great transformation and how you think of creativity.

What thoughts have you been saving and nurturing, waiting for the perfect time to share and express?

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

~Henry David Thoreau~

What is hidden is the importance of connecting to your own belief system. This may be something that you have put aside for a while, but perhaps today it may be revisited?

Ultimately what will be revealed today is a place of growth and perhaps even an epiphany or two.

Moving forward I offer this mantra:

Quietly I move forward

Seeing what I create

When was the last time you walked barefoot in the sand?

Do you remember the feeling?

April 17 2015

This morning I pull the turtle card from the Medicine Cards.

The turtle speaks to us of mother Earth and connecting with her. The turtle buries her eggs in the sand waiting for the sun to warm them and being patient until they hatch, this is for us to be patient for our ideas to find their time to come out of their shell. Letting the sun warm our ideas and desires until it is time for us to allow them bloom with the spring flowers.

Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.

~Robert H. Schuller~

Nature is calling, this is a good day to go outside and take a walk. Perhaps going to the park and finding the beautiful trees that are blooming and take a moment and be present with the beauty of rebirth.

As the sun shines her warmth I offer you this mantra:

Warmed by the sun

Ideas bloom

Love grows

My heart is full

~Dana Nöllsch~

Oracle Blessings, April 5

Today as we take a moment and celebrate the fertility of Spring I offer you this fertile insight from the cards.

Are you ready to see things from a completely new perspective?

Have you invited the veils to lift revealing the deeper truth of what it is that surrounds you?

April 5 2015

Over the dark of  Winter and even the Fall the preceded the cold there’ve been many changes in all of us. These changes seemed subtle at the time, but now that the weather warms and we come out of our hibernation, the difference in how the world looks around us will become very apparent. This is indeed a blessing for the sacredness of us, although shifting of perception may be a bit off-putting at first.

I thought I was an old soul, and that I knew life, but then starting the real life, I figured I am completely new.

Yael Naim

There will be much that we recognize as the weather turns warm, such as the passion in ourselves growing and the desires to relive what made us happy and spring times past. What may also be felt is letting go of the old ways, even though they may feel nostalgic they just don’t have the same intense feelings as before. Perhaps this calls for spiritual spring cleaning of sorts?

Intense relationships and romantic connections may be put aside for a while, this is indeed a time to clear your passionate heart and make room for the intensity of what is just around the corner. We are all ready to advance to a higher state of relationship, love, and romance. Taking this step closer to this higher state will require cleaning out of the old ways.

If you allow what it is that you are creating to serve others as well as serving yourself, you will find much recognition coming your way. As the days grow longer open your eyes and see what the sun will reveal knowing that where you are going others have been before and with that knowledge comes wisdom.

As we walk out of the shadow of  Winter and into the sunlight of Spring there will be revealed and inner truth in the way that we think. As the old ways of thinking subside, there may be a feeling of remorse, losing what we held dear in the past. This is not a place that we need to be held back, this is a place of great forward momentum as long as we allow our own inner truth to shine for us to see.

What is hidden is the potential ill feelings of those around you, as you advance along your path others may feel left behind and this may be difficult energy to cope with. It is very important that you accept the changes that are happening within you even if others seemingly do not support you in the moment. This is your journey and yours alone.

What will ultimately be revealed is a more pure way of living and  loving. This is a place where the purity of truth will shine and complexity will be replaced by simplicity.

As the world around us returns to fertility I offer you this mantra:

As I awake from slumber

Eyes opening wide

Vision clearing

As if I am seeing for the first time

~Dana Nöllsch~

Chocolate; Need I say anything else?

Chocolat

Chocolate

Need I say anything else?

By Sarah Ann Landau

Here’s a holiday treat for you- and I’d venture to say that it will make you feel a little better about mowing down on all that candy you’ve been gambling for these past eight nights, or that Santa left in your stocking. But I’m not here to hold your hand as you slip dreamily into diabetic shock. Chocolate, or cacao, is way more powerful than you may have imagined and it should be regarded as such. There are many medicinal properties that can be attributed to this luscious delight. In the words of Hippocrates, “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Am I right?

Recently there has been a good deal of research into the memory-enhancing and antioxidant potential of this Aztec (believed to be a gift from the God of Wisdom) wonder food. A study from Columbia University found that a group of older folks dealing with degenerative memory issues benefited greatly from the consumption of cacao as well as other plants that are high in flavanols, or flavanoids. A flavanoid is a type of antioxidant that has the power not only to protect cells against free radical damage, but protect blood vessels, prevent inflammation, and help our bodies to utilise vitamin C as well.

Another study, published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that eating dark (over 60%, I would imagine) chocolate can actually help to decrease blood pressure AND make the insulin that our bodies produce more effective. This means that we don’t need as much insulin to regulate carbohydrate and fat metabolism. This also means that chocolate could reduce the risk of diabetes in what one may call a “healthy person”. That’s pretty awesome.

Cocoa happens to rank number 8 on the ORAC (Oxygen Reactive Antioxidant Capacity) Value chart and baking chocolate comes in at number 12. Basically, this means that it blows almost every other food out of the water in terms of antioxidant capacity. HOWEVER, antioxidants are sensitive to temperature and processing, so you can only imagine the punch that raw chocolate packs!

Dark chocolate is also an excellent source of both phosphorous and magnesium. One of phosphorous’ claims to fame is being the main component of our cell membranes in the form of phospholipids. Magnesium is responsible for building bones, circulating blood, and relaxing our nerves and muscles. That makes me want to go eat some right now!

So you’ve heard what I have to say about chocolate. It sounds pretty stellar, I will admit, but remember that this is a treat… A very special and healing treat. It was used in ceremony by the MesoAmericans. Perhaps we could bring some of that reverence into our relationships with this powerful food. How about this; every time you eat a piece of chocolate, you have to go outside in your underwear and dance around your house three times while singing “Chocolate City”. But seriously, respect the medicine and it will respect you! More importantly, enjoy it!

Happy New Year, friends. I hope that 2014 has brought a wealth of experience, lessons learned, and goals achieved. It is now time to embrace the possibilities that this new year brings and allow all that does not serve to drift away. Aho!
